Empowering Educators: Raah-e- Aseman’s Second Workshop on Genital Cancer Prevention for Teachers
SEMNAN, Iran April 20, 2025- The Raah-e- Aseman Charity Foundation recently hosted a vital educational workshop on genital cancer prevention for 181 primary school teachers in Semnan. Held at the foundation’s Ibn Sina Hall, the event was organized in collaboration with the Scientific and Educational Association of Primary School Teachers, aiming to equip educators with crucial knowledge on prevention and early detection of these cancers.
The workshop commenced with an address from Mr. Ahmad Sadighi, CEO of Raah-e- Aseman Charity Foundation. Mr. Sadighi provided attendees with a comprehensive overview of the foundation’s mission, ongoing activities, and significant achievements in the fight against cancer.

Following the introduction, Ms. Masoumeh Etemadi, an honorary member and instructor from Raah-e- Aseman’s Education and Prevention Committee, led the core educational session. Her presentation focused on female genital cancers, detailing effective prevention methods and underscoring the critical importance of early diagnosis for successful treatment outcomes.
Educational initiatives like this workshop are paramount for several reasons. They significantly raise awareness among teachers, who can then encourage preventive behaviors and promote early diagnosis within their communities. Furthermore, given the societal difficulty in discussing genital health issues openly, these workshops create a safe and supportive educational environment. This allows individuals to ask questions, voice concerns, and gain reassurance.

Crucially, teachers are in a unique position to disseminate this knowledge to their students and, by extension, to their families. This ripple effect empowers them to play a vital role in enhancing overall community health and well-being.
At the conclusion of the workshop, all participating teachers received joint certificates of attendance from both the Raah-e- Aseman Charity Foundation and the Scientific and Educational Association of Primary School Teachers. Demonstrating their commitment, several attendees chose to become “Friends of Raah-e- Aseman” by receiving a Raah-e- Aseman charity box or by completing supporter forms, thereby joining the foundation’s network of supporters.
