Raah-e- Asman Psychology Unit Annual Report : March 2024 to March 2025

SEMNAN, Iran – The Psychology Unit of the Rahe Aseman Charity Foundation has proudly released its annual performance report for the Iranian calendar year 1403*, detailing its comprehensive efforts to support the mental health and overall well-being of cancer patients under the foundation’s care. The unit provided a diverse array of psychological services throughout the year.

According to the report, the unit delivered crucial mental health support through various channels. A total of 95 cancer patients received specialized in-person counseling sessions. Recognizing the need for accessible support, the unit also conducted 59 telephone counseling sessions, extending guidance to both patients and their families.

Furthering its commitment to holistic well-being, the Psychology Unit organized activities aimed at reducing stress and fostering positivity. Ten Laughter Yoga sessions were held, receiving enthusiastic participation from patients.

In addition, the unit focused on patient empowerment and psychological resilience through a series of five specialized workshops:

  • Resilience: Led by Ms. Maryam Memar
  • Stress and Management Techniques: Led by Ms. Roya Beydokhti
  • Self-Actualization on Life’s Path: Led by Dr. Hassanzadeh
  • Anger Management: Led by Ms. Shahla Haghighat
  • Effective Communication and Interpersonal Relationships: Led by Ms. Shakiba Alimohammadi

A significant initiative highlighted in the 1403 report involved vocational empowerment workshops. Focusing on practical skills like Patina art and leather crafting, these workshops saw the participation of 25 cancer survivors and patients. The program aimed to facilitate their return to the workforce and promote economic independence.

The Psychology Unit of Rahe Aseman Charity Foundation remains dedicated to enhancing the quality of life and mental health of cancer patients through high-quality, diverse services.
