Our Foundation Honored with the National Philanthropy Award
The first National Charity Award ceremony, aimed at promoting professional standards in philanthropy, recognizing exemplary charitable organizations, and celebrating outstanding individuals in the field, was held on December 25th at the Eram Hotel in Tehran.
The event, attended by prominent figures including Dr. Mohammadreza Aref, First Vice President, and Ayatollah Seyed Mehdi Khamoushi, Head of the Endowments and Charitable Affairs Organization, saw the Rah-e Aseman Charity Foundation receive a prestigious award.
Ahmad Sedighi, Managing Director of the Rah-e Aseman Foundation, emphasized the need for greater government support for charitable organizations. “Government officials should see charities as partners, not competitors,” he said, calling for streamlined regulations to allow charities to focus more on their beneficiaries.
Mehdi Jafari, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Rah-e Aseman Foundation, expressed gratitude to the foundation’s supporters and attributed their success to transparency and regular reporting. “This award validates our efforts and will help us attract more supporters, motivate our staff and volunteers, and inspire other organizations,” he said.
The ceremony, organized by the Endowments and Charitable Affairs Organization in collaboration with other government bodies, recognized 24 charities from among 2000 applicants
