SEMNAN, Iran – The Rahe Aseman Charity Foundation works to prevent cancer, find it early, and support patients. The foundation has shared its yearly report for 1403*. This report shows the results from its mammography unit at Semnan’s Sina Hospital.

The report states that the unit provided 1,435 mammography services to women during the Iranian year 1403. More women visited the unit over time, especially in the second half of the year. The busiest months for appointments were Dey and Bahman (around January and February).

These services included:

• General breast cancer screenings for women over 40.

• Regular check-ups.

• Free mammograms for cancer patients helped by the foundation.

Working well with insurance companies helped more patients get these screenings. The foundation also said it will continue its public awareness programs and educational campaigns next year. They will keep working to make it easier for people to get diagnostic services.

Ahmad Sadighi, CEO of the Raah-e- Aseman Charity Foundation, thanked the hardworking team at Sina Hospital’s imaging department. He said:

“The mammography machine is very important for finding breast cancer early and saving lives. Offering over 1,435 services this past year was possible only because of our donors’ support and careful planning.”

With the message “Prevention and Early Detection Equals Saving Lives,” the Raah-e- Aseman Foundation encourages all women to use mammography for screenings and health checks.

It’s also important to know that the Embassy of Japan in Iran donated the mammography machine to the Raah-e- Aseman Foundation in 1401 (around 2022-2023). The Japanese Ambassador was there for the event. This donation happened after the foundation opened its Nuclear Medicine Center in 1397 (around 2018-2019).
